Burnout and stress · evidence-based therapy
Online psychologist for burnout and stress
Burnout does not mean you are weak or lazy. It is a state of exhaustion caused by prolonged stress, especially work-related stress. The World Health Organization describes it as an occupational phenomenon, not a disease in itself. CBT helps you recognize signs early, rebuild boundaries, and reduce patterns that maintain exhaustion. Sessions are online.
Online CBT session, 50 minutes: €100. Payment and scheduling are confirmed before the session.
Who this is for
- You feel constantly exhausted, even after resting.
- You have become cynical or detached from work and people around you.
- You feel your effectiveness and sense of meaning have dropped significantly.
Who this is not for
- You have signs of severe depression or thoughts of harming yourself. See the depression page and crisis resources.
- You are looking only for medical leave, without work on the causes.
- You are in crisis and need immediate support.
How we work
Burnout builds over time from overload, lack of control, and unclear boundaries. In CBT, we work concretely with the factors you can influence: thoughts, behaviors, and limits, without generic advice like "just relax."
- 01
Recognize the signs
You learn to identify exhaustion, cynicism, and reduced effectiveness early, before they deepen.
- 02
Rebuild boundaries
We work on realistic boundaries between work and personal life, and on how you manage requests and expectations.
- 03
Reduce stress-maintaining patterns
We identify thoughts like "I must do everything perfectly" and behaviors that maintain exhaustion, then test sustainable alternatives.

When it is more than burnout
If exhaustion is accompanied by hopelessness, inability to function, or thoughts of harming yourself, it may be depression, not only burnout. Scheduled sessions are not an emergency service. In immediate danger, seek urgent support.
