Online psychologist for panic attacks
A panic attack is intense and frightening, but it usually does not signal immediate physical danger: the brain interprets normal body sensations as danger signs, triggering a vicious cycle. CBT for panic is a well-studied intervention, although progress depends on each person. We work online.
Online CBT session, 50 minutes: €100. Payment and scheduling are confirmed before the session.
Who this is for
- You have experienced panic attacks and fear the next one.
- You avoid places or situations because of fear of another attack.
- You want to understand what happens in the body and how to interrupt the loop.
Who this is not for
- You have first-time chest pain or unexplained cardiac symptoms. Get a medical check first.
- You are in an acute crisis situation.
- You are looking only for medication, without therapeutic work.
How we work
In CBT for panic, the goal is not to fight the sensations, but to stop interpreting them as a catastrophe. Then adrenaline drops and attacks lose their power.
- 01
Psychoeducation
You understand exactly what happens in the body during a panic attack and why it is usually physically harmless.
- 02
Cognitive restructuring
We identify catastrophic interpretations such as "I will faint" or "I will have a heart attack" and replace them with realistic ones.
- 03
Interoceptive exposure
You gradually and safely get used to the physical sensations you fear, so they are no longer perceived as danger.

Safety first
This page and scheduled sessions are not emergency intervention. A panic attack usually does not signal immediate physical danger, but if you have new or unexplained cardiac symptoms, consult a physician first. In immediate danger or if you have thoughts of harming yourself, seek urgent support.

Frequently asked questions
- Are panic attacks dangerous?
- A panic attack is extremely unpleasant, but it cannot cause a heart attack, fainting, or death. It is usually physically harmless, even if it feels the opposite. If you have new or unexplained cardiac symptoms, it is important to be assessed by a physician first.
- Can panic attacks stop completely?
- Many people reach a point where attacks no longer happen or are easy to manage when they appear. CBT for panic is one of the most effective interventions, but progress depends on each person. I do not promise guarantees.
- How do online sessions work?
- Sessions take place by video, on a secure platform, and last 50 minutes. You only need a stable internet connection and a private space. Payment and scheduling are confirmed before the session.
